Believe it or not,I have been trying to post all week. Blogger is so touchy sometimes. Anyway…Exciting news! Reagan has learned to knit! True, she has knit the same three rows multiple times and then ripped it out,but she is knitting!

She and I also did some dyeing on Saturday, with Wilton Cake dyes. I figured it was safer for her, and also we were in the middle of cooking for a BBQ to celebrate my FIL being home for good from his consulting job overseas. I didn’t want dye powder floating around the kitchen. She had a lot of fun, and I ended up with pink hands, LOL. Her she is with the finished product.

I was hoping by now to have a finished swatch for the fair isle sock, but I have hit a small snag. Some of the yarn is too thin. I was trying to knit the swatch yesterday on size 000 needles, and it looked great, I just couldn’t take it. So…I think I am going to have to rework some things and hopefully get it to work. The colors are beautiful though! I just might have to order some more dyes and fiber so I can get more of a contrast going. In the meantime, I am going to finish spinning the rest of the shetland roving I have dyed up, and work on the cabled sweater, it has been horribly neglected.  Posted by Picasa
