The weekend was busy busy busy, and I am just now starting to recover from it. We went to town on Saturday and bought plants and supplies for a garden. We have never been good at having a garden, but thought we would give it another try. We decided to go a lot smaller than we had in the past. We have a row each of; carrots/spinach, some herbs, peppers/bannana peppers, tomatos/eggplant, potatoes, strawberries, and watermelon/honeydew/cantaloupe. I hope it goes well. I also planted some stuff in the long neglected flower bed in front of my house and the planters whose sole previous purpose was to showcase yarn skeins.

Then yesterday morning, our air conditioning unit came dangerously close to catching on fire. I jerked the cover off of it to discover a good 1/4″ to 1/2″ of ice on all the pipes and conduits. The repair guy, who can’t get here until tommorrow, said that all the freon probably leaked out, causing the motor to overheat. Hopefully he will be able to get it fixed, cause there is no way we can get through a summer here without air conditioning.

I’ve been knitting on the side to side scarf today, but haven’t made a lot of progress. The yarn is so much fun to work with though, it is just so silky and soft.I just wish I had done it on bigger needles, so it would move quicker. It feels like it is taking forever.

And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
–Mark 4:30-32
